Stacey Solomon has revealed when she and fiancé Joe Swash are planning to get married this year.
The Loose Women star, 31, got engaged to former EastEnders actor Joe, 39, on Christmas Eve, after five years of dating.
Shortly after announcing their exciting news, Stacey teased that the pair are set to wed in 2021 and now she’s revealed exactly when they’re hoping to tie the knot.
While making table decorations for their big day, Stacey explained that she and Joe have set a date for the end of summer, but she’s not exactly sure how Covid-19 will affect their current plans.
Stacey explained on her Instagram story: ‘So many questions, so I’ve tried to answer the most asked ones. We are hoping to get married end of summer.
‘We know we won’t be [allowed] many people, but still unclear on exactly how many.’
Hoping to go ahead despite the coronavirus pandemic, Stacey seems to be planning around the current restrictions in place, as she said: ‘We will most likely need to have a table for every household, but again not clear with vaccine progress etc…’
Stacey added: ‘It may all be stopped like so many people’s special days have been over the last year, but planning and making bits makes me happy and trying to think positively about the future is always nice.’
Over the course of lockdown, some weddings have been able to go ahead with a limited number of guests – ceremonies have had maximum of 30 guests, before being reduced to 15.
Weddings are currently prohibited while the UK is in national lockdown, with ceremonies only allowed to take place if under ‘exceptional circumstances’ – like a partner being seriously ill and not expected to recover.
In this case, the maximum number of guests allowed is six.
Hoping that restrictions will ease, Stacey has been crafting ahead of her wedding and her latest project was creating cute table numbers from fejka plants and glass frames.
Opening up about her plans to wed, Stacey has previously said that while she’s always wanted to marry Joe, she’s sad about losing her surname.
Asked if she’ll become ‘Stacey Swash’, the TV star replied: ‘Why does this sound so weird? I’ve wanted to marry Joe since the day I met him if I’m honest, but I feel really sad about losing my surname, is that silly?
‘It’s my mum and dad’s name, it’s me, it’s who I am. Did anyone else feel like this?’
Stacey and Joe have been dating since 2015 and share son Rex, one, who they welcomed in 2019.
She is also mum to two sons, Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships, while Joe is dad to son Harry, 13.
