Stacey Dooley treated her followers to a rare glimpse of her romance with boyfriend Kevin Clifton, sharing a loved-up photo of them spending quality time together.

The TV presenter met the professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 and eventually went on to win the series together while partnered up.

However, they’ve kept their relationship mostly out of the spotlight since then so Stacey’s fans were no doubt surprised to see a new snap of them pop up on their Instagram feeds.

In the photo, Stacey, 34, and Kevin, 38, are seen hugging on a sofa while she flashes a peace sign. It was taken as she visited the pro dancer during his latest performance of West End production Singin In The Rain.

She revealed in the caption: ‘Me showing off my clever boyfriend at 2am. ❤️‍?

‘(Post the cutest 25 yr old telling us he hopes he looks as good as us, when he’s “our age”).’

Stacey also shared a hilariously blurry outtake from the impromptu shoot to her Instagram stories, refreshingly proving that even celebrities suffer photo fails like the rest of us.

‘Stunning,’ she joked about the imperfect snap.

Kevin also shared the photos on his own Instagram and said: ‘Finally @sjdooley came to see Singin In The Rain.’

His Strictly co-stars were loving the content, with fellow pro Graziano Di Prima commenting: ‘you two are everything.’

BBC Sports presenter Alex Scott wrote: ‘You two,’ while Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse dropped a string of red heart emoji.

In May, Stacey recalled the attention surrounding their relationship when they first started dating Kevin and she had to adjust to the interest in their personal lives.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said: ‘I did [struggle] initially, I did at the start. I didn’t realise there would be such an interest, particularly with who I fancy and who I’m dating. I thought that was dull for everyone else.

‘Now, Kev and I have been together for two years, so no one’s really that fussed anymore, and we’re so dull!’

The presenter also recently admitted that she’s in no rush to get married and would prefer to have children.

In an episode of her W series Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, she explained: ‘Kev and I have been together for two years.

‘I don’t think I want to get married. I think I’d be more interested in starting a family than getting married.’
