Our hearts went out to Adele on Thursday evening when she announced in an emotional video that she’d been forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency, telling her fans: ‘It’s not ready.’

The singer apologised profusely in a video shared on social media, explaining that the production has been ‘absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid’.

While some expressed their disappointment over spending money on travel amid the last-minute cancellation, Adele also received numerous messages of support from fans, friends and fellow celebrities – including Supernanny Jo Frost.

In true Supernanny fashion, Frost delivered some kind, heartwarming words – while also encouraging Adele to go to bed, have a bath and enjoy a much-deserved glass of wine.

In a comment posted underneath Adele’s video on Instagram, Frost wrote: ‘Adele WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC everything is a moving target even for professionals like yourself and many an unpredictable situation with so many impossibles & possibles, which is frustrating for many.

‘No doubt your fans will appreciate your leadership in reaching out sincerely but honestly those who really don’t understand are in denial of the realities of how difficult things are right now on every level.

She continued: ‘Now go get some sleep, have a hot bath and a glass of cold Sancerre seriously before I put you on the naughty step! Big hugs Jo aka Supernanny xx.’

If anyone knows how to give a great pep talk, it’s Supernanny.

Several fans of Adele praised Frost for her bolstering message, with one responding: ‘Giving the best advice as usual.’

‘Awww I love you Nanny Jo! Great words always,’ someone else said, while another added: ‘Love your tough love when needed approach, it’s obvi you sincerely want to help, keep up the great work!’

In Adele’s video, she explained that they’ve ‘tried everything’ to get the Las Vegas residency ready in time for it to be ‘good enough’ for attendees, but it wasn’t possible.

‘Half my crew, half my team have come down with Covid – they still are – and it’s been impossible to finish the show,’ she said in between tears.

‘And I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. I’m gutted and I’m sorry it’s so last minute.’

Adele stressed how ‘upset’ and ‘embarrassed’ she was by the turn of events, promising: ‘I’m going to finish my show and I’m going to get it to where it’s supposed to be. I’m so sorry, it’s been impossible. We’ve been up against so much and it just ain’t ready. I’m really sorry, I’m sorry.’
