Susanna Reid has heaped praise on NHS staff as she received her coronavirus vaccine.
The Good Morning Britain host, 50, confirmed she got the jab on Twitter, sharing a snap as she flashed a thumbs up during her appointment.
‘JABBED! Thanks to Kamilah who administered the AZ vax (& Graeme who booked me in),’ she captioned the post.
‘Thumbs up to all the hard-working staff & volunteers at St Thomas’ Hospital vaccination centre (where Boris Johnson also got his today) on a record day for jabs.’
Fans rushed to congratulate the presenter on her appointment.
Flocking to the comments, one penned: ‘Congrats!! One step closer to freedom and hugs.’
‘So happy for you. A step closer to seeing your friends and family again xxx,’ another agreed.
The star has had a tough few days after her pal’s exit from the ITV series last week – following his comments regarding Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
His outburst concerning the Duchess of Sussex’s mental health sparked an instant backlash, with more than 57,000 viewers lodging complaints with Ofcom.
Bosses announced Piers had decided to leave the show on March 9, with Susanna joined on the panel by Ranvir Singh the following day.
His final episode saw 1.3million tuning in to see his storm off during a chat with Alex Beresford – finally beating BBC Breakfast in the ratings.
But the ITV series has not been able to keep the viewers in his absence, trailing behind their rival by 1million viewers.
