Susannah Constantine has poked fun at her children for not tidying their rooms and leaving them in a messy state as they returned home from university.
The 59-year-old presenter was unfortunately greeted with the sight of bags and clothes spewed across the floors of the bedrooms of her son Joe, 22, and daughters Esme, 20, and Cece, 17, who she shares with husband Stan Bertelsen.
If that wasn’t enough, one had also left a pile of laundry for their mum to do.
She cheekily joked she was ‘so happy’ to see them back home, although she did point out they weren’t the best when it came to cleaning.
Taking to Instagram, Susannah shared snaps of the messy rooms, writing: ‘So happy to have kids back from school/uni.’
Fans saw the funny side and many, who have children of their own, shared their own experiences in the comments.
‘Ooh I remember it well and miss it not,’ one posted. ‘Don’t worry eventually they give you grandchildren (in the distant future hopefully) and you forgive them.’
‘So familiar,’ another sympathised. ‘Always reassuring to know that my own teenage slobs are not unique!’
While one commented: ‘You’ll miss it when they move out for real.’
Speaking of clothes, Susannah recently sparked an online debate on her My Wardrobe Malfunction podcast, when she asked listeners about whether or not they should wear underwear with pyjamas.
The fashion guru revealed that she ‘sometimes’ chose to wear knickers with her nightwear, but is not super keen on the idea – while her guest Emma Barnett appeared to be a big fan.
Susannah said she ‘was a bit embarrassed’ about admitting to the fact she wore underwear and pyjamas together, as she assumed that others wouldn’t do the same.
