Taylor Swift has had plenty to celebrate this week after she landed six Grammy nominations on Tuesday.
However, the best might be yet to come because the folklore hitmaker could find herself sharing a record with music icon Frank Sinatra for most Album of the Year wins for an artist if she picks up the gong in January.
As it stands the record is currently shared by Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, and Paul Simon so Taylor would be the first woman to join the group.
When her proximity to making history was pointed out during an interview with Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos, the Lover singer couldn’t contain her surprise.
Taylor, 30, stated: ‘The Grammy news is absolutely unbelievable. In terms of those unbelievable records, I try not to jinx things.
‘To quote Michael Scott from The Office, “I’m not superstitious, but I am a little Stitious.”‘
The singer previously revealed her love for Steve Carell’s hit sitcom in 2010 when she parodied an episode during the making of her Ours music video.
Taylor might be staying humble about the matter but critics believe the star might walk away with another Grammy in the new year after she was nominated in categories such as Album of the year, Best pop vocal album, and Pop solo performance.
The Cardigan hitmaker has previously made history at the Grammys after she became the youngest Album of the year winner in 2010 when she bagged the gong for her album Fearless (Billie Eilish has since broken the record).
Taylor then became the first woman to win Album of the year twice as a lead artist when she was given the honor for her album 1989 in 2016.
Considering all the record folklore has already broken since its release, fans will be hoping to see the singer break another one next year.
