TV presenter Angela Scanlon was taken to hospital after a ‘serious crash’ according to reports.

The private car the TV star was being driven in collided with a private ambulance in north London, say The Sun.

Angela, 37, was treated at the scene on Tuesday before she was taken to hospital.

A source told The Sun: ‘She’s fine now. I think it came as quite a shock though. The police and paramedics attended.’

The TV host has stood in for Alex Jones on The One Show over the years and has proved popular with viewers.

She has hosted programmes such as Angela Scanlon’s Close Encounters! and the documentary Trump’s Unlikely Superfans for BBC Three.

Since 2018 Angela has fronted a BBC Radio 2 programme on Sunday mornings until her final show in April this year. Elsewhere on the station she has covered for Sara Cox.

More recently she has fronted the home renovation series Your Home Made Perfect with the second series airing in 2019.

Angela has been married to Roy Horgan since 2014 and the couple share daughter Ruby Ellen.
