Blake Lively and Amber Tamblyn reunited some of the sisterhood as they enjoyed a catchup over the Fourth of July weekend.

The pair famously starred together in 2005 drama The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, based on the book of the same name by Ann Brashares. It follows four friends who stay connected throughout their lives by sharing a pair of jeans that fits each of them perfectly.

The Two and a Half Men star posted a selfie with her pal as they enjoyed a day out together on Tuesday. Blake had her arms wrapped around Amber as they both smiled for the camera, to the delight of fans.

Amber captioned the photo: ‘Life is short. Celebrate with the ones you love and who love you in return. That’s it. That’s the post.’

Her followers loved seeing the blast from the past, with one excited fan writing in the comments: ‘THE SISTERHOOD IS STILL ALIVE AND WELL IM CRYIN (sic)’.

‘This makes my heart happy !!! Sisterhood!!’ another said.

‘Ah!! ????? That’s so nice ❤️❤️❤️ the sisterhood of travelling pants pals..??’ read one comment, while another said simply: ‘Best picture ever’.

‘Who wears the pants now?’ one fan joked.

Blake and Amber played two out of four ‘sisterhood’ members Bridget and Tibby respectively, with Alexis Bedel as Lena and America Ferrera as Carmen. The foursome also went on to star in the sequel in 2008.

Although America and Alexis were not with their co-stars over the weekend, the Green Lantern star previously said the foursome are still very close.

She told People last year: ‘America Ferrara, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel–those are three women who I met when I was 16 years old and I’ve been lucky to call them my friends and mentors ever since.’
