The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has wished co-star Norman Reedus a very happy birthday – but he was a bit eager.
The 54-year-old actor – who plays Negan in the zombie apocalypse drama – shared a sweet message on Monday to pay tribute to his pal on his special day, but it turns out he got in there early by mistake.
Alongside a picture of the cast mates, he wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my BFF. @bigbaldhead I just f***in love ya.
‘After posting… it’s not his birthday yet! Lol. F**k it. Two day jump on this thing!! My pandemic calendar is better and faster than most folks. Xxjd (sic)’
Before he edited the original, plenty of people piled into the comment section to correct Jeffrey – this is the internet after all – and let him know his friend actually turns 52 on January 6.
One follower commented: ‘Thought his birthday was the 6th xx (sic)’
Another very understanding fan added: ‘Lol its the 6th. But it’s the thought that counts (sic)’
Norman – who plays Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead – doesn’t seem to have responded yet, but there’s still time.
Meanwhile, the star recently urged fans to be careful after discovering his identity was stolen by someone trying to solicit money from them.
Norman revealed the fraudster had also been falsifying his documents, and so he decided to put out a message telling his followers not to respond to anyone pretending to be him, with only one official public account.
He wrote: ‘Hey got word someone is using a fake passport and drivers license soliciting funds and such from people. That ain’t me. Don’t believe ‘em.’
Fans soon flocked to wish him well to share their own experiences of a faked celebrity trying to con them out of money, with one saying they were contacted and asked to ‘donate to a fund’ which was, presumably, non-existent.
