Travis Barker is very much in the honeymoon phase of his romance with Kourtney Kardashian as the rocker raved about his girlfriend on Thursday.
Appearing on Drew Barrymore’s talk show, the Blink-182 drummer was quizzed about his ‘lovely lady’ and the love note she sent to him in which she stated: ‘May we destroy each other completely.’
The musician revealed he preferred the note compared to the usual romantic sentiments as he laughed: ‘I would prefer the opposite. I would prefer to, kind of, go in the blaze of glory and ball of flames.’
Drew also quizzed Travis about what it was like to dated someone who also had kids.
The 45-year-old revealed he believe it was ‘better’ to date someone who is also a parent as he explained: ‘I’ve done both up until now.
‘I dated girls who didn’t have kids and I find it hard because they would have trouble understanding like, “Why don’t you want to go to dinner every night with me?” or “Why don’t you want to see me every night?”‘
The Barker Wellness founder continued: ‘And now I’m spending time with a woman who’s a great mom, who’s a great friend and you don’t have to worry about any of those things.
‘It just comes natural, it’s like a maturity thing. And I also really like missing someone and cherishing the time that I spend with them instead of every day being with them, especially in the beginning of the relationship. I think missing someone is so important.’
Travis share two children – Landon, now 17, and Alabama, 15 – with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, while Kourtney shared share their children Mason, 11, Penelope, eight, and Reign, six, with her ex Scott Disick.
The father-of-three and the Keeping Up with the Kardashian reality star fueled rumors they were dating by sharing matching social media posts on Valentine’s Day.
Days later, they confirmed their romance with a photo of them holding hands.
They had been seen enjoying a romantic date for two in Los Angeles earlier in February adding to speculation that they were more than friends.
Their relationship has even received the seal of approval from Travis’ ex-wife Shana Moakler who said they ‘make a cute couple’.
