Victoria Beckham said homeschooling daughter Harper during lockdown gave her a greater appreciation for teachers, a sentiment many homeschooling parents have shared in the past year.
The fashion designer and former Spice Girl, who has four children with David Beckham, said that seeing nine-year-old Harper learning over Zoom was ‘pretty tough’.
Speaking to the Evening Standard as part of London Rising, Victoria conceded that ‘homeschooling is no joke’, leading her to appreciate teachers ‘so much more’.
She said: ‘I can run a business. I can sit in a board meeting. No problem.’

But when it comes to helping her children with lessons? That has definitely been a bigger challenge.
‘Yeah, home-schooling the kids is really, really, really tough,’ she confessed.
Victoria, 47, shared that Harper and son Cruz, 16, were delighted to return to school after lockdown, describing them as ‘so happy’.
‘I mean, our kids love going to school for social friends. They work hard at school.
‘But I’ve never seen my kids so excited to go back to school and it was lovely to see. We forget how much they have missed.’
The Beckhams recently returned to their Cotswolds base from a four-month trip stay in Miami, where David, 45, co-owns football club Inter Miami.

The family reportedly jetted to the States on Christmas Day on a private plane, having taken coronavirus tests, but new travel restrictions saw them staying out in Florida longer than they had planned.
Eldest son Brooklyn, 22, is still over in Miami, having made the move last year to be with his fiancée, Nicola Peltz, 26.
Meanwhile, Victoria was recently sent a pair of lilac Drew House Crocs by singer Justin Bieber, much to the fashion designer’s evident amusement.
Sharing the gift with her Instagram followers, Victoria confessed (perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly) that she had never worn Crocs.
She wrote: ‘I’m not quite so sure what to say about these but thank you, it’s very sweet.’
