Aperol launches charity Christmas jumper to aid hospitality workers affected by Covid-19

Aperol might be a summer staple, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show your love for the tipple year-round.

Aperol has launched a limited-edition Merry Spritzmas Christmas jumper in time for the holiday season.

The jumper is orange with a boozy twist on the classic fair isle pattern common among festive apparel, with rows of patters with an ‘A’ for Aperol, bottles, and Aperol Spritz glasses with an orange slice for a garnish.

The jumpers are knitted in Italy and made from 100% merino wool, so you’ll be looking cute as well as feeling nice and cosy in front of the fire.

The jumpers cost £50 each, with all proceeds going to the Shaken Not Broken fund, which has been set up in aid of workers whose livelihoods in bars and pubs have been impacted by the pandemic.

The fund will support former and current hospitality staff with mental health support, living costs or education/training to help them get back on their feet.

You can buy the jumpers on Aperol’s Etsy store, where they’re being sold in unisex sizes S to L.

The jumpers will last only as long as stocks do, so if you’re interested you’ll have to act fast.

If you want to support the fund without buying a jumper, you can go to the Shaken Not Broken page,

Once there, you can choose your local fund and donate to your heart’s content.
