Shoppers will see more plus-size options across a range of ASOS-owned men’s brands from today.
The styles included in the expansion are part of ASOS DESIGN, Dark Future, ASOS 4505 and all other ASOS-grown labels.
Now you can expect to see clothes available in sizes 2XS-4XL and 2XS Long – 3XL Long.
A spokesperson for ASOS said: ‘ASOS has offered plus and tall menswear product since 2017 as part of our commitment to establish a culture of inclusivity across ASOS.’
They call this next step ‘a natural progression for ASOS so that we truly represent the diversity of our customers.’
Size inclusivity is increasingly important for all shoppers and brands have been called out for a narrow size range.
For example, H&M was recently criticised by some customers on social media when its campaign for the Simone Rocha collection claimed to be for ‘all sizes’, but only went up to a size L in Europe and XL in the U.S.
When asked why now for this move to be more inclusive, the ASOS spokesperson added: ‘Representation and inclusivity is so important, now more than ever.
‘We listen to our customers and want to champion the things that are important to them.
‘Inclusivity is important to our customers, and there are many ways we look to support this through our channels and product offering.’
The online retailer has listened to the thoughts of real life customers to help improve the fit and accuracy of these new garment sizes.
To make navigating the extension easier, a size guide will feature on all product pages for the first time too.
Ensuring the whole shopping experience is inclusive, the spokesperson says its use of models will reflect the diversity of ASOS consumers.
They said: ‘Our diverse customer base is represented through the models they see on ASOS, through our social channels and our inclusively-sized clothing ranges.’
