Lidl is jumping on the chunky trainer bandwagon, and we’re here for it.
In a truly iconic but somewhat surprising turn of events, the budget supermarket may be about to drop the hottest shoes of the season.
How much will they set you back? The Depop-friendly trainers are dropping for just £12.99. Very on brand.
The brightly coloured shoes are part of a wider collection, Lidl by Lidl, which has already seen success in other parts of the world.
As well as the trainers, the clothing line includes sports socks (costing 99p), men’s swimming shorts and a foldable shopping bag.
The colour-way doesn’t stray from Lidl’s signature blue, yellow and red branding, with most items featuring the well-known Lidl logo.
Not only has the collection got a vintage, old-school feel to it, it’s also exclusive, with no public plans to restock once products run out.
Unsurprisingly, the trainers have already been reselling on platforms like eBay and Amazon for more than triple the cost.
The trainers are being sold in both women’s and men’s sizes, with women’s ranging from sizes 4 to 7, and in men’s sizes 7 to 11 1/2.
Don’t sleep on them – people are excited.
One Twitter user wrote: ‘Can someone send me 12 quid so I can buy the Lidl trainers?’
Another said: ‘I want Lidl trainers so bad it hurts’.
The collection will hit Lidl stores this week, on Thursday, 16 September, so you’ll have to move quick if you want to nab the look.
