Get paid £1,000 to taste test chicken dippers – and win a year’s supply

When it comes to nostalgic, childhood comfort food, chicken dippers are up there with smiley faces and potato waffles.

But a new job opportunity is willing to pay a lucky individual to eat the meaty morsels.

Bird’s Eye is recruiting someone to taste test chicken dippers but also look into the best sauce-dipping strategy.

This is something that the brand feels is worth investigating, considering we are a nation divided on sauces (with 44% stating that chicken dippers are ruined without a dip).

Anyone thinking of applying for the role must have reliable taste buds, know a thing or two about the ‘the perfect crunch’ and have an understanding of sauce-to-snack ratios.

The hired individual will then share talking points with other foodies on social media. They will also advise on the best way to dip, try out some of the nation’s most bizarre sauce combinations and challenge others to share their dipping secrets – to help inform future development from the frozen goods brand.

It’s worth pointing out that candidates also must be willing to appear on camera.

The hired tester will be paid £1,000 for their time – which Bird’s Eye says will take no longer than four hours – and will also receive a year’s supply of chicken dippers.

If the position sounds up your street, you can apply with a 250-word covering letter explaining your experience and passion for chicken dippers as well as why you should be selected. Simply email all this to birdseyeHR@chiefdippingofficer.co.uk.

Extra consideration will be given to the most creative applicants – AKA those who go the extra mile – and photo submissions are very much encouraged.

A representative for Bird’s Eye says: ‘We’re really excited to be on the hunt for our new Chief Dipping Officer and we’re looking forward to seeing what hopefuls think they can bring to the job, as well as providing some expert dipping tips to share with the nation.’
