Are you a busy parent?

Are your days a continuous panic-filled flurry?

Well, if the answer is yes then you need to know about the ‘lasagne’ hack.

Busy mum Shelby, who posts on TikTok under the username @sparklegigglesmile, says the tip is a lifesaver.

She thinks that all parents should know how to implement the useful hack.

The ‘lasagne’ technique is perfect for those whose kids sometimes wet the bed at night. Its use means less time is spent fumbling around in the small hours.

Taking its name from the pasta dish, the idea is to layer a waterproof mattress pad and sheets. This means putting an extra set of sheets on when making the bed so there is a fresh set ready to go when you need to strip it after a night accident.

In the clip, Shelby says: ‘Mummas, I don’t care how old your kids are, this tip has saved me so much time.

‘When you’re making your baby’s bed, layer a waterproof mattress pad and your sheets like lasagne, that way, if there’s an accident, you have an extra set on the bed ready to go.’

Shelby layers two of each when demonstrating the technique but parents can add more if they desire.

Meanwhile, Shelby has also shared a range of other ‘mum’ tips on her page.

One quick suggestion is for teething and grumpy babies.

Shelby advises parents to simply dampen and freeze a face cloth.

Doing this turns a normal household item into an effective teething toy that will quickly soothe your baby’s distress.
