My Celebrity Life

Your Horoscope This Week: June 20, 2021

The last full week of June yawns before us, and what would Pride be without a little full moon energy? This week’s festivities arrive on the heels of Jupiter stationing retrograde on the 20th, a transit that lasts four months and loves to sprinkle a dash of introspection and “for your own good” into life’s impulsive plans. Mercury stationing direct on June 22nd will help alleviate some of the chaos our winged messenger stirred up — especially during the solar eclipse — but the retrograde shadow period might have us facing the consequences of our missteps for another two weeks.

And, while it’s true that the Sun in Cancer is a Sun that loves to remind us when and how somebody’s feelings got hurt eons ago, it’s also a zodiac sign underrepresented in the category of Most Likely to Have a Good Time — and give you one. too. Cancers are luminous and their light is generous, it’s bold in the day and subtle at night, but never not on. It’s the kind of warmth and attention we’ll need under the full moon’s glow in Capricorn, a night that’s sure to bring up a few insecurities and some difficult decisions, too.

Welcome to Cancer Season, don’t let the door slap your ass too hard on the way in.

Aries Sun & Aries RisingFeeling secure often requires effort. Whether it’s our reputation, our financial reserves, or our ability to share our work with others, having faith that we will be supported isn’t easy. It’s an ongoing process of putting yourself out there in increments (or, in your case, big bursts) and learning to receive the criticism with the compliments — learning to take what’s constructive and construct with it! This week is a great week to bring all the advice and the suggestions and the offers back to your patch of grass and lay them out before you. Which of these would nurture your sense of security? Which of these do you gravitate to out of pleasure rather than from fearful “shoulds”?Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Taurus Sun & Taurus RisingMany of us are raised to make a life around our beliefs and nurture that life for the sake of them. But, if we are curious and brave, we come to learn that there are as many valid beliefs as there are people; there are many valid ways to move through the world and build a life. What’s more, as we open ourselves to others and to connections that are meant to challenge us and help us grow, we learn that some of our beliefs can be in conflict; when we value more than one viewpoint, it’s not uncommon to find ourselves stuck in between. If this week has you questioning where you stand, remember that there are whole religions built around asking questions; remember that questioning is sacred.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Gemini Sun & Gemini RisingYou don’t have to rush transformation. You don’t have to be your future self at this very moment. Becoming is an operative word, and operations take time, skill, preparation — and the occasional assistant tech. Of course, the truth is that there’s really no forcing a natural process that relies on time and our ability to surrender to it. But, recognizing what you can’t rush isn’t about throwing your hands up or losing control. It’s about acknowledging the small things you can change to usher in the bigger changes around the corner. Sure, you can buy some new clothes, but if the subsequent, refreshed feeling doesn’t last, there’s a reason. Maybe you’ve got deeper shifts to make.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Cancer Sun & Cancer RisingThere are many tools that can be deployed to sustain one’s drive. Delayed gratification is certainly one of them, and it’s not uncommon for a Cancer rising to rely on the ache that waiting produces, an ache that often proves more tantalising than the reward. There’s nothing wrong with holding back on occasion, dear Cancer, nothing wrong with telling yourself that you or someone else has to “earn it.” But, it’s valuable to keep your goalposts in place and make sure that if you are withholding something until a desire is met, the meeting of that desire can be easily distinguished and delineated. Otherwise, you might find yourself in a cycle of delays, and there’s nothing gratifying about that.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Leo Sun & Leo RisingYou know what they say about the body: It really keeps the score. But, knowing that your corporeal reality can be a reflection of your emotional reality is hardly the same thing as approaching your daily life as if these things were true. Habits are hard to break, especially habits that have emerged as self-soothing techniques. Self-soothing is a necessary survival skill and sometimes those habits can feel like a key to our survival. Sometimes, when our body is ready for us to find new techniques and tools to self-soothe, it insists the only way it knows how: by rejecting the old ways physically. If you don’t feel good — if you feel worse than no good —  then there’s a better option — remember to choose it.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Virgo Sun & Virgo RisingVirgos might be known for their service and the pride they take in their work, but Virgos can also be summertime babes who love fun and the sun respectively. For those born in the Northern Hemisphere, there can be something powerfully urgent about letting it all go and surrendering to a good time, knowing that the labour of harvest is just around the corner. You’re allowed to play for the sake of play, to express yourself for the pleasure of expression alone. This week, if you find yourself yearning to be where the people are and worried that releasing the reins might result in a lost horse or two, ask yourself this: Are you holding too many horses? Do you need to be?Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Libra Sun & Libra RisingProductivity is a scam, everyone knows that. There’s no divine law, no social contract that demands we produce anything. Besides, plenty of people spend their whole lives being “productive” while offering the world very little substance — sometimes even depleting it in the process. Your relationship to productivity has been transforming for some time, even if it hasn’t always been your hand at the wheel. The lessons of these past few years will feel especially poignant this week and it’ll be important for you to lay whatever anxieties that still plague you beside the values you have spent decades claiming. You are allowed to want for yourself what you want for others,Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Scorpio Sun & Scorpio RisingThere was a time when what we needed to learn came to us in steady increments. A teacher, opening a door, segmented our knowledge. And, if we encountered something we couldn’t yet compute, we put it away for a different time when we were better equipped to process it. Now that information is always arriving — we’re expected to grow emotionally and intellectually in the span of a week. It can feel like there’s barely any time to process what we’re learning, let alone hold the heavy stuff we filed away for later. Do your best, Scorpio, not to get wrapped up in making meaning this week. What’s essential will become known to you in due time, the rest is free to become someone else’s lesson.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Sagittarius Sun & Sagittarius RisingMoney is a thing that can be so personal, even if it sounds (and, in most cases, IS) a little fake. Yes, money is just numbers on a screen and papers in your pocket, but it can really impact your self worth and limit your ability to feel free. Be extra-conscious of your relationship to money and the choices you make around that relationship. Being extra-conscious doesn’t just mean staying aware of splurging impulses or keeping abreast of your balances. It means being very intentional about what you say yes to when your self-worth feels low, and noting when feelings of fear around not having enough get in the way of your ability to experience the freedom you do have.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Capricorn Sun & Capricorn RisingCould it really be so surprising that, as your relationship to yourself, your appearance, and your values changes, so do your relationships? Isn’t it just the law of like-to-like that has you wanting to see your own growth and shifting beliefs reflected in those you love — or could love — one day? Your ambitions for yourself and your people are a huge part of what makes you you, and you should never have to apologise for them. That said, it’s important that you keep the assumptions you make about the values and preoccupations of others in check. Discernment is one thing and judgement another. One gets you closer to what you want, the other keeps everyone at a distance.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Aquarius Sun & Aquarius RisingSmall things add up, if you let them. The little joys and sweetnesses, moments of harmony that feel like a bigger happiness, a truce between you and the things you would rather the world be. The small things can not and will not serve to displace whatever lives in you that wants something too big and all-consuming to face all at once. But they can turn down the pitch of the wanting, they can make it a background music rather than the defining score. And it’s ok to let that happen sometimes, to let the organic tension between the Big Plan and life’s small inventory expand and contract without meddling. It’s not a self-betrayal if it feels right. If it feels right, it’s right for now.Illustration by Stefhany Lozano

Pisces Sun & Pisces RisingIt’s only right that who we surround ourselves with influences our self expression. It’s only right that the circle we cast widens how we view that circle and challenges our assumptions about who we are within it. And, it’s true that the more secure we feel, the greater the sense of belonging, the more likely we are to contribute our energy and our resources to the collective efforts and aspirations. It’s important for you to feel a sense of purpose, dear Pisces, to feel like what you are doing contributes to the wider community. If this week brings up feelings of alienation in you, it’s important that you allow those feelings to guide you toward finding your people. If you’re feeling creatively blocked, look for a collaborator to inspire you. Illustration by Stefhany Lozano
