The new Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom teaser has arrived, but Amber Heard is noticeably absent.
The second teaser trailer, which debuted on Monday, features Jason Momoa as the eponymous superhero, with Nicole Kidman as Atlanna and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
However, Amber, 37, who plays Aquaman’s love interest Mera, is not shown in the minute-and-a-half-long teaser.
Reacting to her mysterious absence, one movie fan tweeted: ‘Where is queen Amber?’ while another said: ‘So they really did edit her out as much as they could haha.’
One commented: ‘No Mera? Get lost.’
Highlighting a possible blunder where the same shot of Nicole Kidman is used twice, another wrote: ‘The trailer showed the same shot of Nicole Kidman character, queen Atlanta, at the 0:41 mark and 1:01 mark. The editors just be doing anything so they won’t have amber heard character be in the trailers.’

It was earlier reported that Amber will be completely deleted from the picture due to the drama surrounding her libel lawsuit against ex-husband Johnny Depp. She did, however, make a brief cameo as the Queen of Atlantis in the first Aquaman 2 trailer, which debuted in September. Before the trailer proceeds, she is seen for a short second beating on a window.
Amber claimed that her position in the sequel had been considerably decreased, but Aquaman director James Wan denied her allegations, claiming the film will never feature Mera prominently.
‘I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm,’ he told Entertainment Weekly.
‘So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie.’
Amber’s image suffered a significant setback at the trial of Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny in the summer of 2022. A petition to get her fired from Aquaman 2 gathered 4.5 million signatures.
After failing to defeat Aquaman, Black Manta releases an ancient and deadly entity, prompting Aquaman to establish an odd alliance with his brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, in order to preserve the planet.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set for release on December 22.
