Charlie Cox’s Daredevil ‘returning to MCU in Spider-Man 3’ amid multiverse rumors

The Spider-Man 3 speculation just keeps coming as Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is now being added into the mix.

The blind superhero is reportedly set to make a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Netflix lost the TV and movie rights to the character.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Charlie will continue to play Matt Murdock in the new film.

As for his role in the film, YouTuber Grace Randolph claimed: ‘Ichecked – #CharlieCox as #Daredevil IS back in #SpiderMan3 and I can add to the story that he will indeed be Peter Parker’s lawyer!

‘Feige considered #SheHulk to rep Parker but felt the Daredevil connection in the comics is stronger!’

Bringing Charlie’s Daredevil into the film is just one of the exciting casting rumors that have been making headlines about the upcoming blockbuster.

Actors Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx both allegedly set to return as villains Doctor Octopus/ Otto Octavius and Electro respectively.

Elsewhere it has been reported that Tobey Maguire will be returning to the Marvel film if a deal can be struck.

He won’t be the only Spidey returning, though, as Andrew Garfield, who played the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man series, has also reportedly joined the cast.

One addition that is also meant to be happening is the appearance of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) ahead of his upcoming standalone film called the Multiverse of Madness.

Spider-Man 3 is set for release on December 17, 2021.
