Vin Diesel made it a family affair on Fast and Furious 9, as he was joined on screen by his son, Vincent.
The upcoming flick is set to be released on June 25, after a string of lengthy delays.
Ahead of the release date, it has been revealed that the 53-year-old’s son – who he shares with Paloma Jimenez – will be appearing in the next instalment of the action franchise.
Not only did Vincent nab a role, he also played a younger version of his dad in a throwback scene.
TMZ states the 10-year-old’s starring role was filmed in 2019, and he was paid a daily rate of $1,005 (£730).
Not too shabby.
Vin Diesel’s son will be popping up on the bring screen
According to CinemaBlend, F9 will show a flashback scene of Dominic Toretto – but it has not been confirmed if we’ll get a glimpse at mini versions of his onscreen siblings, Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Jakob (John Cena).
While fans have been (not so) patiently waiting for any news on the movie, which was originally set to speed onto our screens last spring, a teaser dropped during the recent Super Bowl game, sending us all into a tailspin.
A blue Skyline car could be seen in the very, very brief trailer, in an apparent nod to Brian O’Conner – after actor Paul Walker died in 2013.
There was intense speculation on who was behind the wheel, with many questioning whether Paul’s brothers had replaced him through CGI – similar to the ending of Fast 7.
Thankfully, we’ll find out what goes down in two months.
Fast and Furious 9 will be released on June 25.
