Killing Eve star Jodie Comer is totally transformed to a play butt-kicking hero in the new trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ film Free Guy.

While we’re used to seeing her with long blonde hair in real life and as assassin Villanelle, she rocks a brunette bob in her next big screen role.

The British actress plays Milly in the upcoming blockbuster, a programmer who turns the life of Ryan’s Guy upside down by revealing he is inside an open world video game.

A new trailer shows off Jodie’s action movie chops as Milly and Guy race to stop the game from being shut down.

And there is going to be a bit of romance thrown in as the pair are seen sharing a kiss as actual real-world Milly (with Jodie back to blonde) watching it happen on her computer screen.

Stranger Things star Joe Keery also stars as Milly’s colleague Keys who helps her change the game’s code to make Guy aware of his virtual world.

Ultimately it looks like a fun big screen outing with shootouts, fight scenes and explosions to keep the whole family entertained. Ryan – taking a break from bidding to buy football clubs – is spot on with the comedy as usual and it’s great to see Jodie land another major part.

This trailer comes after the cast took part in an announcement video poking fun at the release date being moved around due to the pandemic (it was originally meant to come out in July).

Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and Lil Rel Howery also star.

Free Guy is out December 11.
