One Disney fan has suggested the Halloween movies Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown II are connected.
She referred to the scene where Sophie (Emily Roeske) brings colour back to Halloweentown.
As she approaches one resident and transforms her back, her clothes resemble those worn by Sarah Sanderson (Sarah Jessica Parker) in Hocus Pocus in 1993.
Looking at both oufits, the citizen in Halloweentown was dressed incredibly similar to Sarah, right down to the patterened bodice and purple cape.
Lyssa questioned whether the moment meant that the two films ‘exist in the same universe’.
While it could be a coincidence, we think Disney’s costume wardrobe is way too big to just…reuse the same one.
She also tagged star Kimberly J Brown, who played Marnie, to get her thoughts on the issue.
Last month it was revealed that original Hocus Pocus stars Sarah, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimi would reunite for spooky season.
The trio will take part in a virtual ‘Hulaween’ fundraiser in aid of the New York Restoration Projet, with fans being able to nab a ticket to what is usually an exclusive event.
Access to In Search Of The Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover will set fans back $10 (£7.70) with tickets available on the NYRP website.
It marks the first time the actresses would have appeared all together at a Hocus Pocus related event in years.
