The filmmaker of The Human Centipede has filmed and completed another horrifying horror film, but he believes it will never be published because it is too severe.
In Tom Six’s horrific 2009 film, which spawned a trilogy, a mad scientist kidnaps and mutilates tourists before reassembling them as a real human centipede by stitching them mouth-to-anus.
However, his next picture, which has yet to be viewed by public despite being completed in 2020, is even more shocking in its darkness.
The trailer for The Onania Club has been out, and the film has received a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics who have seen it so far – but Six’s fans are losing hope that this new film will ever be released.
This is owing to its prohibited basic premise: women masturbate to the anguish and pain of others, elevating the concept of ‘torture porn’ to a new, horrible level.
In the teaser, Hanna (Jessica Morris) confesses to a ‘grave secret’ before joining The Onania Club, a clandestine club.
Its members, strong independent women located in Los Angeles, are aroused by the sorrow of others, with Hanna racing to the toilet to satisfy her sexual need when a friend sadly informs her that her lover lost his legs in a car accident.
After driving to the club’s headquarters in a beautiful home, she witnesses its members masturbating to films of migrants drowning, poverty, a terrifying robbery, and even what looks to be 9/11 footage.
In the most disturbing scene, the female club members congregate around the sickbed of a dying cancer patient, allowing them all to groan their way to sexual pleasure.
As The Onania Club’s synopsis then warns: ‘Hanna meets more misery than she could ever hope for and in the process loses everything she cares for.’
Director Six has been unable to ‘find a distributor to bring it to the public’ according to Hollywood in Toto, which adds that Six is not interested in self-producing and releasing.
The Dutch filmmaker lists the film as ‘still unreleased’ in the bio section of his X profile, adding: ‘What the f**k?!’
He also cited filmmaker John Waters’ assessment of The Onania Club as one of the ten finest films of 2021.
In a YouTube video explaining why the film has still to be released in 2021, Six complained: “No serious distributor in the Western world has the vision and the balls to release it.”
‘Apparently it’s too original, too provocative and too challenging for mature audiences.’
He went on to describe The Onania Club as ‘art’ and a ‘pitch-black satire of the world we live in today’
‘With film, you have to be able to challenge morality.’
One critic admitted The Onania Club ‘leaves us unsure whether we are meant to be excited or appalled by all the film’s controversy-courting comings and goings’ in their certified ‘fresh’, a.k.a. positive overall, review of the movie.
During a recent discussion on Reddit, fans discussed a release for the movie, with @ReclaimerCube posting: ‘Will forever hold out hope for this movie one day seeing the light of day.’
It’s so weird that the world where we get two human centipede movies this one is too controversial to release,’ added @kingcolbe, while @spookysquishh called it ‘a fantastic premise’ for a movie.
