Twilight deleted scene about chinchilla droppings has to be seen to be believed

It’s been 12 years since the first Twilight movie hit cinemas, yet it’s still finding ways to entertain fans.

A deleted scene from the movie’s extended version has blown up on TikTok, thanks to a baffling detail about chinchilla poo.

TikToker @honeydxo came across the scene when she watched the full extended version of Twilight and was in hysterics when she reached a scene where Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) looks around Edward Cullen’s (played by Robert Pattinson) bedroom.

She said: ‘OK so I’m obsessed with Twilight, right, and I’m rewatching all the extended edition movies on Amazon Prime right now and I know why everybody says that Bella doesn’t have a personality, and it’s because they left out this scene right here.’

Bella finds a rainstick and says: ‘I used to make these. Rainsticks. I had a chinchilla and me and my mom used to make these out of the chinchilla’s droppings and… you know, paper towel rolls. Maybe that’s weird.’

Yeah, Bella, little bit.

The TikToker burst out laughing at the line, and as the video made its way onto Twitter, people were equally confused.

Screenwriter Alanna Bennett tweeted the video with the caption: ‘Today I am haunted by….’, with a follower replying: ‘I am NEVER GETTING OVER THIS’.

Another person tweeted: ‘I said “this can’t be real” OUT LOUD.’

The chinchilla droppings line was featured as a deleted scene on the DVD, and is part of the extended version on Amazon Prime, along with a longer version of Bella having dinner with her dad at the diner and Edward getting very intense watching Bella go to her car.

Twilight, the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s ridiculously popular franchise, told the story of Bella, a teenager who moves to a rainy town in Washington where she falls for the mysterious, beautiful Edward.

Only problem is, he’s a vampire, her best friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) is a werewolf, and her teen years are about to be plagued by danger, hormones, blood thirst and a lot of intense staring.

The franchise – Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn parts one and two – was a box office phenomenon and made superstars out of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

Over a decade on, the exes haven’t done badly for themselves at all – Kristen, 30, starred in the Charlie’s Angels reboot and currently stars in the Christmas movie Happiest Season, while R-Patz, 34, recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and the black and white horror The Lightnouse.

Oh, and he’s going to be the new Batman, which is pretty big.
