The new WandaVision trailer featured an appearance from Captain Marvel’s Monica Rambeau.
Marvel Studio’s intriguing new series stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and follows their superhero characters Wanda Maximoff (aka Scarlett Witch) and Vision living strange suburban lives.
The super couple then begin realising nothing is as it seems in the series which blends black-and-white 50s sitcoms with surrealism.
It’s only a short trailer, but we get a quick glimpse of Monica – looking majestic – lying on the ground and looking into the distance.
We also see her flying through the sky in daytime, and landing at night in front of government agents.
Monica, played by Teyonah Parris, is first seen as a young girl (played by Akira Akbar) in Captain Marvel but she’s now all grown up.
We only got a glimpse of her, but she somehow becomes entangled in the weird occurrences happening around Wanda and Vision.
WandaVision debuts on Disney+ later this year and it looks like it’s time for us to get a subscription.
Marvel Studios series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was meant to debut before WandaVision, but Covid-19 meant it suffered major delays.
According to the show’s synopsis, ‘Marvel Studios’ WandaVision blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision — two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
‘The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer. Debuts on Disney+ this year.’
Randall Park returns as SHIELD agent Jimmy Woo, with Kat Dennings returning as Darcy Lewis from the Thor films, and Kathyrn Hahn stars a Agnes.
