Zoe Kravitz served pure looks as she returned to The Batman set this week to resume filming the anticipated blockbuster alongside Robert Pattinson.

The X-Men actress will portray Catwoman in the Matt Reeves-directed superhero flick and was pictured on-set in Liverpool on Monday.

In costume as the superheroine also known as Selina Kyle, Zoe looked chic and fierce in a leather coat and heeled black boots finished off perfectly with a large fascinator. She also wore a wig dyed brown and styled into a bob.

Zoe was flanked by several men as she walked down the steps of the city’s St George’s Hall and was seen on the arm of her co-star John Turturro who is playing Carmine Falcone.

It’s believed Catwoman was appearing at a funeral service as her co-star Robert was seen in character as Bruce Wayne aka Batman earlier in the day. Extras were seen playing mourners and also Gotham police officers.

Some held signs reading: ‘Lies, lies, lies,’ and ‘our day of judgement’.

It’s not known how filming in Liverpool will be affected going forward after Boris Johnson announced the city is now under full lockdown.

Only a brief glimpse of Zoe in her Catwoman costume was seen in the first trailer released the summer, but fans are yet to get a proper look at the catsuit.

Teasing what fans can expect from the costume, Zoe said on Variety’s podcast in June: ‘It’s cool, man. It’s cool.

‘I can’t say it wasn’t cool, but I’ve been really trying to not think too much about just what that character means to everybody else. Just because it can be distracting in the wrong way, especially when you’re trying to become someone else.’

Zoe will follow in the footsteps of Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeifer who have played Catwoman in past movies.

Revealing what it’s like to be stepping into such an iconic role, Zoe explained: ‘When the announcement came out that I had gotten this role, my phone rang more than it has ever.

‘More than my birthday, more than my wedding, more than anything. So I felt that immediate pressure. The script is phenomenal. The story’s really strong. I feel very clear on who Selena is and what she wants, and I’m trying to stay more focused on that.’

Robert’s return to set this week came under the Twilight actor tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to take a two-week break. With its lead star out of action and in quarantine, production on The Batman shut down abruptly.

Not only that but the movie has been delayed yet again and is now set for release on March 4 2022.
