BTS have announced their brand new single Dynamite, which will be released on August 21.
The K-pop boyband has been teasing fans on social media ahead of their highly anticipated comeback, with their label, Big Hit Entertainment, finally confirming the title of their upcoming single on Twitter.
They shared an image displaying the song’s title, writing: ‘#BTS Dynamite #BTS_Dynamite.’
Both of BTS’ official Twitter accounts have also updated their profile pictures and headers to reflect the announcement.
Of course, the group’s fans, also known as Army, could not contain their excitement.
The track hasn’t even dropped yet, but one supporter tweeted: ‘DYNAMITE SONG OF THE YEAR.’
Another added: ‘OH MY GOD IM NOT READYYYYY.’
‘Oh MY!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh! Can August 21st get here any sooner?!?!?’ another fan wrote.
BTS – which consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook – previously revealed via a livestream that Dynamite is an upbeat song sung in English.
They stated: ‘We also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times, so we worked on this new song.
‘This is a new challenge for us as well. When we first heard and recorded the song, we were energised and our spirits were lifted up.
‘We can’t wait to share this song with you all and enjoy it together.’
The release of the single comes after the band released their seventh album Map Of The Soul: 7 in February, which topped the charts in many countries and sold more than 4.1 million copies in their native South Korea, making it the best-selling album in the country’s history.
As well as working on new music, it’s also been revealed that RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V have all enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University, with RM, Suga and J-Hope already attending.
Jin is also a student at the university, having enrolled in 2017, with Junkook majoring in Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University.
BTS’ new single Dynamite will be released on August 21.
