BTS have scooped yet another win at the Billboard Music Awards 2020 as they broke a record on the Social 50 chart.

The seven member group, who recently launched their own branded premium water, took home top social artist for the fourth year in a row at the awards on Wednesday.

They were up against Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, GOT7 and EXO in the fan voted category.

‘We think this award is a living proof that no matter where we are, ARMY and BTS stay so close and connected as always,’ rapper RM said.

It comes as the Fake Love singers became the first act to spend 200 weeks at number one on the Billboard Social 50 chart, where they have been since July 2017.

Billboard say they got a recent boost from their feature on the remix of Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo’s Savage Love. They are currently sitting pretty at the number 1 and 2 spots with Savage Love and their own English-language single Dynamite.

The record was previously held by Justin Bieber, who stayed top for 163 weeks.

At the BBMAs – which were postponed in April due to the coronavirus pandemic – BTS once again put on an energetic performance of Dynamite accompanied by a jazz band appearing on a screen behind them.

The disco-inspired song saw them become the first South Korean act to top the Billboard 200 chart.

At a press conference, rapper Suga said he was ‘having a hard time’ believing they had achieved one of their goals, which they learned about after leader RM shared an image of the chart in their group chat.

‘I’m still having a hard time accepting it’s real,’ he told and other press.

‘We talked a lot, we often said [we want] no 1 on the hot 100, this is something we’d like to have. It’s not like we worked hard just to reach this goal, but it feels like a dream we have reached this goal.’

Currently, RM, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V and J-Hope are working on their new album BE (Deluxe Edition) which drops in November.
