BTS star Jungkook debuts blue hair after dying it himself

BTS star Jungkook gave fans a treat when he unveiled his new look after dying his hair blue, no doubt making more than a few fan edits a reality.

The singer had a go at colouring his hair himself at home and shared the bold new look on Twitter following the South Korean group’s appearance on MTV Unplugged.

Instead of the black – and then blonde – wavy hair we’re used to seeing him with, it is now a striking shade of electric blue.

He shared a selfie, seemingly from a practice room, on Wednesday for the group’s legions of followers revealing he had ‘self-dyed’ it.

Of course BTS’ fandom ARMY had nothing but lovely things to say as the snap quickly racked up over a million likes – something Jungkook should be used to by now.

‘JUNGKOOK IM NOT OVER WITH BLONDE AND YOU WENT BLUEEE WHAT????’ one excited fan tweeted.

‘We still couldn’t recover from blonde Jungkook and now Blue Jungkook take over the throne, King behaviour indeed’ posted another, while one said: ‘This is unreal beauty.’

‘In bwl [Boy With Love] era, I wondered would we get a blue hair jungkookie some day, and it’s now come true’ read another tweet.

One ARMY tweeted: ‘His new blue hair looks so good’.

‘I was not ready to wake up this morning to blue Jungkook!’ said another fan.

One tweet read: ‘Ummm…okay can someone remind me how you BREATHE again?!’

Jungkook’s makeover comes after the K-pop group, also made up of RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope and V, appeared on MTV Unplugged.

The group performed new stripped back versions of tracks such as Dynamite, Telepathy, Blue & Grey, Life Goes On and a cover of Fix You by Coldplay.
