Ed Sheeran back on stage after three years with huge world stadium tour and here’s how to pronounce its name

Ed Sheeran is taking his new album = on the road, announcing the first leg of his huge stadium tour kicking off in 2022.

It’s officially called The + – = ÷ x Tour, but thankfully Ed has helped us out by sharing it is pronounced The Mathematics Tour.

Next year will see the Bad Habits singer take in dates around the UK, Ireland, Central Europe and Scandinavia, including three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in June and July next year.

Tickets go on general sale via his website on September 25 from 9am in England, Wales and Scotland and 8am in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The + – = ÷ x Tour will see Ed back on the road for the first time since his Divide Tour from 2017 to 2019, after which he took an extended break and welcomed his first child.

The singer is going to unveil an array of tracks from = live for his fans for the first time in his production set-up, with staging in the round so he will be surrounded by the crowd in each place he visits.

The star recently revealed he plans to take his one-year-old baby daughter Lyra – who he shares with wife Cherry – on tour with him, giving her a jet set lifestyle before she even starts school.

‘You know I’ve got a long tour coming up so I think by the time that she’ll probably start primary school we’ll have been around the world like three or four times so I think it’s probably time to settle and have a normal childhood I think,’ he said on KISS Breakfast.

Bad Habits, Ed’s first single since returning from hiatus, has broken records.

As of September 3, it has spent ten consecutive weeks at number one in both the UK and Ireland, beating Ed’s own record and becoming his biggest number one to date.
