Former Destiny’s Child star LeToya Luckett has announced her split from husband of three years, Tommicus Walker.
The 39-year-old singer confirmed the news on Monday, amid rumors the pair had called it quits just four months after the birth of their second child.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a post which read: ‘After very prayerful consideration, Tommicus and I have decided to get a divorce.
‘It is my deepest desire for us to be loving co-parents and keep a peaceful environment out of respect for our children.’
She concluded: ‘Please understand our need for privacy. Thank you in advance for your prayers, support & space to heal as we tread through this challenging time.’
Texas entrepreneur Tommicus also shared a statement which read: ‘This was a very difficult decision. We remain committed to our family as co-parents and we ask that you please respect our privacy and the safety of our children at this time.
‘We happily remain committed as caring friends with great love and respect for one another.’
In August 2017, LeToya – who was part of Destiny’s Child between 1993 and 2000 – announced her engagement to Tommicus Walker via Instagram and wed the same year.
The couple had welcomed their first child, Gianna, in January 2019 and their second child Tysun Wolf was born in September 2020.
LeToya also has another daughter, Madison, from a previous relationship.
