The doors of Worthy Farm were opened to festival attendees on Wednesday, signaling the start of Glastonbury 2023.
An image depicting the prices at a festival bar quickly gained popularity online, leaving several attendees stunned at how high they considered the cost of some drinks to be.
A picture of The Bread and Roses’ drink menu was posted by Twitter user Marc Faulkner, which ignited a passionate discussion.
Marc’s photo indicated cocktail prices ranging from £12 to £9.50, a pint of San Miguel priced at £6.80, and a double spirit with Red Bull costing £13.
Reacting to Marc’s image – also posted on That Glasto Thingy’s Twitter – one individual expressed: ‘F**k me those spirit prices.’
A separate tweet read: ‘Glad I packed plenty of rum,’ with another person more bluntly stating: ‘Robbing b*****ds.’

Other remarks included: ‘Just shy of 7 quid for a San Miguel?!’ and ‘Half a pint of coke for £3 [angry face emoji].’
Yet, not all reactions were of disbelief, with one Twitter user noting: ‘Actually not that bad.’
Other responses included: ‘Still decent prices!’ and ‘£6 for a cider, not too shabby.’
Glastonbury saw thousands of campers arrive today to celebrate the 51st year of the global spectacle.
Top-notch musicians are scheduled to perform across the 900-acre festival at Worthy Farm, which continues until Sunday.
The event also hosts political discussions, movie screenings, as well as theatre and circus displays.
The Pyramid Stage on Friday night will be headlined by the Arctic Monkeys, marking their third appearance at the festival, having performed in 2007 and 2013.
Saturday night will feature Guns N’ Roses as the main act, following the 2015 reunion of the original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.
Sir Elton’s key performance on Sunday night is predicted to attract a big crowd as it is the final UK performance of his ongoing farewell tour.
Yusuf/Cat Stevens is set to perform during the teatime legend slot on Sunday afternoon, preceding the legendary rock pair, Blondie.
