Jungkook has topped the chart for the most-searched K-Pop Idol on Google for 2020, beating the rest of BTS, IU and BlackPink, who complete the top 12 spots.
BTS and Jungkook himself are no stranger to world domination, so it’s no wonder he came out on top for the most Google searches of his name.
In a list compiled by Kpop Idol Charts on Twitter, the account has analysed the Google data for the most popular K-Pop stars to rank the top 100 artists.
Jungkook sits at number one, followed second by BTS bandmate V, Jimin is in third and Suga comes fourth, while BlackPink’s Lisa completes the top five.
BlackPink’s Jisoo and Rose come in at 11 and 12 on the list with stars from Miss A, Red Velvet, Astro, BigBang, Exo and Twice all in the top 20.
Their individual searches wasn’t the only way BTS made a mark in Google searches for the year – their Map Of The Soul: ON:E online concert was the fifth most-searched concert worldwide, too.
Jungkook also recently made his directorial debut for the band’s music video for Life Goes On from BTS’s new album BE, which went down a storm with fans.
The band also made history by becoming the first Korean number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this year with Life Goes On, as well as racking up their first Grammy nomination too.
With these being just some of the standout moments BTS and Jungkook have achieved in 2020 – a year where the world was brought to a standstill due to the global coronavirus pandemic – we can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2021.
