Lana Del Rey delivers first US TV performance in nine years and fans are thrilled

Lana Del Rey made her first US television appearance in nine years on Monday night to perform her single, Let Me Love You Like A Woman.

The singer delighted fans with a pre-recorded performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Lana, 35, showed off her unique vocals in the retro-themed clip while joined by a band and backup singers in an unnamed dive bar.

Fans were ecstatic as they flocked to Twitter to share their reaction, with one tweeting: ‘THE VOCALS ON THAT B***H #LanaDelReyOnJimmyFallon LANA DEL REY ON JIMMY FALLON.’

‘LANA DEL REY ON F**KING JIMMY FALLON!!! YALL PLSS SHE HASNT BEEN ON TV FOR LIKE 8 YEARS LETS MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!’ another added.

Another fan wrtoe: ‘LANA DEL REY ON JIMMY FALLON, JUST LOOKING STUNNING AND SOUNDING PERFECT. THE SONG, THE SINGING, THE CHOIR, JUST PERFECT!

‘9 YEARS AFTER HER LAST TV APPEARANCE AND SHE’S PROVING HOW AMAZING SHE IS ❤ I’M SO PROUD! #LanaDelReyOnJimmyFallon.’

Another wrote: ‘CAN WE TALK ABOUT LANA’S PERFORMANCE ON JIMMY FALLON PLABFOSLSMCILAMDIDLNSBG LITERALLY QUEEN.’

The track features on the 35-year-old’s upcoming album, Chemtrails over the Country Club, which will be released in 2021.

It’s been an intense year for the star, who recently addressed the backlash she faced for wearing a mesh mask she was seen wearing to an event.

The singer wore the controversial accessory to a meet and greet at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles, where she signed copies of her poetry book Violets Bent Backwards Over The Grass.

It came shortly after Lana took to Twitter to defend her political beliefs after fans began to speculate she had voted for Donald Trump in the US presidential election.

As fans patiently wait for her new album, she recently lent her voice to Liverpool FC documentary The End Of The Storm, singing a haunting cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone.
