Lil Wayne has signed with UTA for worldwide representation in all areas, the parties tell Billboard.
Last year, Lil Wayne released his Billboard 200 chart-topper Funeral — his fifth No. 1 album. According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, Funeral debuted with 139,000 equivalent album units earned. Following that release, Wayne stormed back on the mixtape circuit with his third installment of No Ceilings last November. The project featured Drake and Young Thug.
Throughout his career, Lil Wayne has scored three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles with “Lollipop” (2008) and two featured spots in Jay Sean “Down” (2009) and DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” (2017). He also has the third-most Hot 100 hits behind Drake and the cast of Glee with 170. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, Lil Wayne has grossed $110.9 million and sold 1.975 million tickets.
This year, Wayne released several songs, including “Ball Game,” “Ain’t Got Time” and “Green & Yellow,” his ode to the Green Bay Packers. Earlier this month, he supplied rising Chicago rapper Calboy a guest verse on “Miseducation.” Currently, Wayne is working on his new album, I Am Not A Human Being III.
On the management front, he continues to be represented by his longtime partner Mack Maine.Credit: Original article published here.
