Lizzo announces Cardi B collaboration with sizzling artwork for new single Rumors

The rumors are true, y’all. Lizzo is finally dropping new music this week and she’s managed to get Cardi B to feature on her comeback track.

The Good As Hell hitmaker shared the exciting announcement on Instagram as she posted a first look at the single’s cover art featuring the two musicians’ mouths and some blinged-out talons.

‘”RUMORS” feat @iamcardib ??? THIS FRIDAY 8/13??????’ Lizzo captioned the image.

It seems the announcement on Monday came as quite a surprise to Cardi as Lizzo’s previous post saw her catch the rapper off guard with a video call.

Lizzo captioned the post: ‘GRAND RISING MUTHAF**KASSSSS…. GUESS WHOS HOPPIN ON “RUMORS” W/ ME?!?’

Sharing a clip of her FaceTiming the WAP hitmaker, Cardi looked confused as she answered the call while lying down and rocking a pink beanie cap with an image of animated Disney character Stitch.

‘Good morning, motherf**ker! That’s who it’s featuring y’all, period. It’s Harry Styles!’ Lizzo stated with a cackle in the clip.

Cardi replied: ‘Yo what the f**k? What’s going on. Why you call me so early? It’s nine o’clock in the morning.’

The rapper eventually woke up and joined in the excitement as she also posted the artwork and wrote: ‘all the rumors are truuuuue – me n my sis @lizzobeeating dropping this friday get ready ???’.

Rumors will be Lizzo’s first new single since 2019 when her third album Cuz I Love You enjoyed huge success.

It’s safe to say fans are more than ready for the new era of Lizzo, and if the success of Cardi’s previous collaborations is anything to go by, we are in for a treat.

Indeed, the hitmaker and Megan Thee Stallion just celebrated the one-year anniversary of their now-iconic smash, WAP (Wet A** P***y).
