An offensive Christmas song about Boris Johnson has claimed the number one spot on the Amazon Music chart.

The insulting track, titled Boris Johnson Is A F*****g C**t by The K***s, was released back in October but gathered momentum in the Christmas number one race after the prime minister implemented strict new coronavirus rules, including tier four ruining festive fun for millions of people.

Until today, the song was neck-and-neck with LadBaby’s Christmas song Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ on the Amazon Music chart but it’s now taken the top spot.

LadBaby’s remix of Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ with Ronan Keating is now at number two, while the original version sits at number three. The next three positions are filled by various versions of The K***s’ song, including a ‘Sausage Roll’ remix and acoustic rendition.

Boris Johnson Is A F*****g C**t spans just one minute and 20 seconds and the only lyrics are the expletive-filled title repeated over.

Over on the Official UK Chart, the rude song was at number 19 over the weekend but it couldn’t be played on BBC Radio 1 during the countdown due to the language.

Presenters Vick Hope and Kate Thistleton told listeners: ‘Now at 19, we’ve got a track about Boris Johnson that has so many bad words in it, we can’t play it on daytime Radio 1.’

It’s unlikely the Johnson song will reach number one on the official top 40 chart as LadBaby was leading the way in the midweek update.

The release of Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ is raising money for food bank charity The Trussell Trust and will be the third time LadBaby has earned the Christmas number one.

The K***s’ track has been supported by several celebrities including singer Kate Nash and Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, who started the campaign for it to claim the festive chart-topper in October.
