K-Pop legends SHINee will return with their new album next month.

The foursome – Onew, Key, Minho and Taemin – revealed the release date during their special livestreamed comeback show The Ringtone: SHINee Is Back on Sunday.

SHINee’s seventh studio album will drop on February 22.

A mysterious teaser photo for the comeback was shared on their official social media accounts later on Sunday.

It was a black and white picture of a projector throwing an image of the group on the wall behind.

The words ‘Any Resemblance To Actual Person Or Event Is Purely Coincidental’ were written across it.

During The Ringtone, SHINee treated fans to a performance of Marry You, a B-side from the upcoming album.

The new record will be the group’s first release since The Story Of Light in 2018, which was their first comeback as a four after member Jonghyun died in 2017.

The Sherlock singers have been on hiatus as Onew, Key and Minho all enlisted in the military. Minho completed his service in 2020, reuniting the group.

Taemin meanwhile joined the boy group SuperM and released solo albums Taemin and Never Gonna Dance Again.

SHINee debuted under SM Entertainment in 2008 and went on to release singles such as Replay, View and Dream Girl.
