It’s a good day for SHINee fans, as the boys are back together.
Key proclaimed ‘we’re back!’, after bandmate Minho was discharged from the military on Sunday.
The third member of SHINee to enlist, Minho began his mandatory military training on April 15, 2019.
In a group picture that sent fans into a spiral, Key, Onew and Taemin surrounded Minho, who was still dressed in his military uniform.
Key captioned the picture: ‘We’re back!!!’, and fans celebrated in the comments.
One person wrote: ‘NOT ME CRYING’, with another comment reading: ‘The kings are back!’
Onew finished his mandatory military service in July this year, with Key completing his in September.
Taemin is young enough to put off his enlistment until later – so fans are hoping this reunion signals a comeback for the K-pop group.
Back in April, the band’s official website was updated with a countdown to each of the member finishing their military service, with ‘2020 SHINee’s BACK’ written out on the website.
It is unclear if this means that SHINee will stage a comeback before the end of the year.
Key is currently back on screens on the tvN show Amazing Saturday, while Taemin has been promoting his latest solo track Idea.
SHINee’s last record came in 2018, with their sixth studio album The Story Of Light, containing the singles I Want You and Good Evening.
The album marked the band’s first as a four-piece, following the tragic death of member Jonghyun.
The singer took his own life at the age of 27 in December 2017.
