If you’re planning to travel more in 2022, you might want to get your hands on a limited edition product for the festive season.

Low-cost airline easyJet has unveiled a new advent calendar, which features 12 drawers of special travel treats.

Some of the goodies hiding behind the numbers include four pairs of return flights for two including hold luggage, one year of easyJet plus membership (worth £215) and vouchers to spend on the airline’s onboard Bistro – as well as tours and excursions, plus car hire discounts.

So there’s a lot to get stuck into.

The product, dubbed as an ‘advent(ure) calendar’ by easyJet, comes in at £695.

While this might seem like a lot of cash to spend on an advent calendar, it’s worth pointing out that the cost of the goodies within it are worth more than £1,500 – so you’re saving around £800 in total.

In addition to this, the limited edition product is for a good cause too – as proceeds from sales will be donated to Age UK Bedford.

The calendar has come about following research from easyJet, which revealed that venturing abroad was the number one desire for Brits when it comes to planning for 2022.

Their study revealed more than half (52%) said planning trips and adventures abroad is a top priority.

The poll also showed that 46% are planning to go on more trips than usual next year, with one in ten (11%) hoping to take at least three holidays.

Rachael Smith, director of proposition and innovation for easyJet, said: ‘We know that our customers can’t wait to make up for lost time and enjoy the experiences they’ve been missing, and so we are delighted to have launched our very first “Advent(ure) Calendar” to give the gift of travel to a loved one this December.’
