A far cry from the jungle (Picture: Celtic Castles/Roch Castle/Langley Castle)

Tonight, Sunday 21 November, we’re due to see the new cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2021 get to grips with Gwrych Castle.

The Welsh castle, which has replaced the Australian jungle as the setting for the show since the pandemic, is located in Abergele, North Wales.

The celebs’ quarters won’t be the lap of luxury, but it’s got us thinking: are there other castles you can stay at in the UK? Turn out the answer is yes – there are quite a few, and they’re pretty fancy.

While these aren’t exactly the jungle, if you’ve ever wanted to stay in a real, bona fide castle, you could do a lot worse than the ones on this list.

Cardigan Castle, Wales

The recently renovated Cardigan Castle offers both self-catered and B&B-style accommodation in Ty Castell.

Located near the market town Cardigan, you’ll have access to the castle’s two-acre grounds and on-site restaurant.

Ty Castell B&B costs £70 – £90 per room per night, self catered room prices vary
