Over the past couple of weeks, multiple government advisors have suggested that Brits looking for a holiday this year should plan domestic trips rather than going abroad.
With that, 2021 became the ‘year of the staycation’, with British holidaymakers booking unique breaks right here on our shores.
If you’re looking for a unique break that’s close to home, this big red ship might be a perfect option.
Sula at the docks, the big, red historic ship in Gloucester, is available for booking as of April 12 (when self-contained accommodation is allowed to reopen).
Sleeping up to four guests with an open-plan living and dining area, Sula is a bright and quirky base for a UK family holiday.

You can expect two bedrooms, a shower room, and a modern kitchenette on Sula, as well as amenities you’d expect on land like central heating, electricity, a smart TV, and Wi-Fi included.
Situated to explore Gloucestershire and Cheltenham Spa, as well as the charming village of Painswick in the Cotswolds, just a 20-minute drive away,

There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as the National Waterways Museum.
The boat comes complete with original features such as the port windows in both of the spacious double bedrooms so you can enjoy spying on the pirates (or passing barges) every morning.
Sula’s sun deck is great for coffees in the morning or chilling with an aperitif in the evening. And if you happen to book for the May bank holiday (when the Tall Ships Festival and Regatta Gloucester takes place) you’ll get a panoramic view of the lot.
