If you’re not in the festive spirit yet, we have something that is guaranteed to get you on your way.

The Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan, boasts a suite that’s as Christmassy as it comes.

It’s completely kitted out to pay tribute to the popular holiday movie Elf.

Inspired by the hit Christmas film, the hotel room features a sign that says ‘Santa, I know him’ over the bed and more than 5,000 feet of handmade paper snowflake decorations.

There’s also a tree which nods to the popular film with signs that state ‘there’s room for everyone on the nice list’ as well as ‘you sit on a throne of lies.’

Upon arrival, guests will be treated to Buddy’s favourite food groups (candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup) with maple toasty tarts, chocolate-covered marshmallow snowballs, elf munch and candy canes.

Hotel spokesperson Sarah Osbourn commented: ‘We thought it would be a really cool idea, especially with people not feeling safe this year, to offer a holiday experience in a suite for them, so they can still feel safe, still get into the holiday spirit and have something fun to do.’

Prices for the unique suite start from $499 (£370) per night and reservations can be made online.

But if this Elf-inspired room doesn’t tickle your fancy, The Royal Park Hotel also offers a gingerbread-themed suite.

What’s more – in the spirit of Christmas – 10% of booking proceeds will go towards The Big, Bright Light Show – a holiday light show in Rochester which sees buildings illuminated by lights in December and January.

Although it’s worth pointing out that the UK’s FCDO currently advises against all but essential travel to the US at this moment in time.
