Looking to be truly terrified and possibly lose some sleep this Halloween?
Well, Kraken rum is transforming one London hotel into an immersive and terrifying experience, to give you just that.
Named Dread & Breakfast, it promises guests a very disturbing night of sleep.
Taking place from Thursday October 28 to Saturday October 30, unlucky guests will be deliberately kept awake.
Unexpected phone calls, banging on the walls, screams in hallways and even uninvited guests entering your room are all part of the night’s real-life horror experience.
A team of actors, light and sound technicians, special effects artists and theatre professionals are all on hand to provide terror to your stay.
Those who dare visit will learn that the abandoned Averard Hotel is infested with the disturbed souls of mariners who survived an ocean encounter with the ‘Kraken.’
Meeting with the beast was a curse for the sailors. Each turned into evil incarnate once they reached dry land. One by one the sailors were captured and sent to the hotel to be locked up forever.
Today, the fearless Kraken hunter, whose mission is to track down the beast, has heard the tale of this location and its damned residents. The hunter believes communicating with the spirits will help to track down the beast.
Guests will take on the role of assistant to the Kraken in his mission.
Each evening, 140 people will be invited to visit the hotel. On arrival they can expect Kraken cocktails and live music from the house band Thankful We Are Dead at the hotel bar.
From 7pm until 11pm visitors will get to explore the hotel under the guidance of the Kraken hunter’s crew.
Those deemed to be brave enough will be allocated a room to stay in. All guests are asked to bring an overnight bag.
Chosen residents will go to their rooms at 11pm and will check out at 9am the following morning.
Each ticket to visit the hotel will cost £10 and includes one free Kraken cocktail.
