1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton has another life-changing transformation coming her way after the reality star discovered she is pregnant in the season two premiere.
After undergoing weight-loss surgery four months before, the TLC star was already prepared for her body to feel different. However, she wasn’t quite prepared for the latest twist that came her way.
Initially, Amy thought the pandemic has caused her to start to regain some of the 124-lbs she had lost since her surgery.
‘Four months ago, I was down to 550-lbs, I had reached Dr Proctor’s target,’ she explained. ‘But since the pandemic hit, I know I’ve slipped back, I just don’t know how much.’
Amy also thought she was battling a side effect from the surgery as she complained about crippling constipation, causing her husband Michael to take her to the emergency room.
The visibly-pained star was heard explaining: ‘For a while now, I’ve been having trouble pooping. All I want to do is get some relief, I can’t take this no more. I feel like Tammy, because my stomach is so big because I can’t take a s**t!
‘I ain’t never had discomfort like this. I’m worried something could be seriously wrong right now. It’s really scary, because my surgery was only four months ago. My body hasn’t fully recovered yet.’
After three hours in the ER, Amy emerged and revealed her huge surprise to a visibly shocked Michael.
‘I finally got to poop, but there was also a little twist. I’m pregnant!’ she smiled. ‘In order for you to get an X-ray, you have to take a pregnancy test and all that. So I did the test, he came back in and he goes, “we can’t do the X-ray because you’re pregnant.”‘
Her sister Tammy didn’t have the most exciting response to the surprise discovery as she stated: ‘I wish he was lying to you… You know you’re not supposed to be pregnant right now. Don’t get me wrong, I want you to have a kid, but it’s too soon.’
Sharing her concerns, Tammy alluded to Dr Proctor’s post-surgery advice for Amy, where he suggested she hold off getting pregnant for at least two years.
