Amy Slaton has ‘stalled’ in her weight loss journey, according to her ‘disappointed’ doctor.

The reality star fronts TLC series 1000lb Sisters with sibling Tammy Slaton, taking viewers along on their weight loss journey as well as shedding light on their family lives.

She originally wanted to work towards becoming a mom and initially surprised everyone with her progress, transforming in front of the cameras.

In an upcoming episode, the 34-year-old – who is set to welcome her second child with husband Michael Halterman – confesses that her development had slowed since welcoming son Gage.

In a clip obtained by People Magazine, she can be seen having a check up with Dr Charles Procter Jr, admitting that he will probably be disappointed by her progress.

‘When I first met Amy, over two years ago, she weighed over 400lbs and one of her goals in life, not only to get married, was to have a baby, and at that point it was impossible for her,’ the surgeon tells the camera.

‘I’m nervous, because I don’t think I am where I’m supposed to be in my weight loss goal,’ the mom-of-one says in an interview.

‘I avoid the scale because then I’m focused on the number going down. And if I see it going up, it’s going to make me depressed and wanna eat more. So it’s best not to look at it.’

When asked how she has been getting on with her weight loss journey, she tells him: ‘I mean, for a while I was doing bad, but we were remodeling a new house, so you can’t cook at the new house, so you had to do take out…’

Dr Procter explains that she weighed 288lbs when they last saw each other, and shares his hopes that she has gone under 250lbs in that time.

She weighs in at 275lbs which is under her pregnancy weight – but something that has disappointed him.

‘Surgery’s no guarantee that somebody’s going to not only lose the weight but keep the weight off, and we’ve see that,’ he adds in a separate VT.

‘From what I’m seeing, she hasn’t put any more effort back into her health. We’ve pretty much stalled out at this point.’

Despite the appointment not going to plan, Amy has a lot to celebrate at the moment as she announced her pregnancy at the beginning of the month.

She got Gage in on the action as she confirmed her baby news on Instagram, posting a photo of the tot on her grid, wearing a top which read: ‘I’m going to be a big brother 2022.’

Alongside the upload, she wrote: ‘Gage is going to be a big brother in july 2022. Im due july 18th!!!! We are over the moon!!!! [sic].’

Revealing that her unborn baby is the size of a lemon, she later added: ‘14 weeks. 2nd trimester. And dont have a gender yet..

‘Cant wait to see what beanie is.. [sic].’
