Tammy Slaton has unveiled her mysterious new boyfriend, Phillip, and can already see a ‘long life’ with him.
The 1000lb Sisters star hasn’t had the easiest time with her love life, after it emerged that her former partner was actually married.
However, the 35-year-old is hopeful that her new beau is ‘the one’.
In a new teaser ahead of next week’s episode, obtained by People Magazine, she explained that they first met on social media, and revealed that Phillip – who lives in Las Vegas – came to visit her recently.
‘Meeting Phillip for the first time, I mean, it was great. We talked and held hands and just watched TV, and got to know each other. I like everything about him. I like how he makes me feel. Like, he makes me happy. And I can honestly say this is happiness,’ she said in the brief video.
While Tammy initially wanted to keep their budding romance under wraps, they are already exclusively dating.
‘Phillip and I are together. That’s my man. I’m his woman,’ she told the cameras. ‘I can see a long life with Phillip. Even though we just met, it feels like I’ve known him forever.’
She also addressed his online videos that have gone viral recently – in which he stated that he would leave a woman who weighed under 300lbs – and insisted that they ‘don’t define’ who he is.
‘He likes big girls. He’s just a supporter. And he knows very well that I’m on a weight loss journey, and he’s okay with it,’ she added. ‘He’s all for me losing weight and getting healthier. No, he don’t want me to get under 300lbs, and I’m fine with that.
‘I can’t wait to see him again’.
Viewers got a front seat to Tammy’s relationship with ex-boyfriend Jerry on the TLC show – with cameras seeing the moment he decided to call time on their romance.
Chatting to TMZ after the scenes, he claimed that the reason for his departure was because he needed closure on his marriage with estranged wife Kia.
He insisted that he ‘felt guilty’ over how they left their marriage, and said this was the reason he was unable to be the boyfriend that Tammy needs.
The new series of 1000-Lb Sisters airs on Mondays in the US.
