1000lbs Sisters: Tammy Slaton slammed as she ignores advice and leaves food addiction rehab early

1000-lb Sisters season three finally kicked off on Monday night and viewers were shocked to see Tammy Slaton quit a food addiction rehab stay after eight weeks.

The TLC star and her sister Amy Slaton have been taking fans along on their ongoing mission to improve their health in the hit series and fans have become seriously invested, to say the least.

Indeed, many were shocked to see the 35-year-old choose to return home from the rehab facility because she wanted to continue losing weight ‘on her own’ from the comfort of her home.

After learning she had managed to drop 60 pounds in eight weeks after starting her stay at 689 pounds, the reality star was seen having a conversation with business office manager Kelly Yarborogh about her decision to leave.

She explained: ‘I miss my bed. I miss my family. I think I’m ready to go. I want to try and get the rest of the weight off on my own.’

However, Kelly immediately expressed concern about the plan and asked Tammy if she was really ‘ready to go home on her own without support and face all the temptations by yourself.’

Tammy insisted she was sure and added in her confessional: ‘I know I’m supposed to lose pounds, but 60 is great a start… I’ve been here long enough, I’ve seen what to do. I just gotta do it.’

She then told Kelly: ‘if I do order out it’d be like one burger and nothing else… if I just get one burger a day…’

‘See that’s the part that I worry about…’, Kelly responded as she added in her confessional: ‘I worry about Tammy’.

Fans were just as concerned about Tammy’s decision with one commenting: ‘I honestly had hope up until the moment she talked about ordering one burger a day.’

‘I don’t even think she’s capable of making her own decisions when it comes to her weight,’ another wrote.

One viewer stated: ‘Girl. Stay👏In 👏Treatment👏 There’s no shame in addiction except for choosing to stay addicted when you have help like this.’

‘They shouldn’t let her go at this point she’s just putting her life on the line, even if she’s grown she can’t make good decisions on her own,’ another commented.

The update comes after the 35-year-old was hospitalized with Covid-19 last November and has been using supplemental oxygen since.

1000lb Sisters airs on TLC in the US and is available to stream on Discovery+.
