Drea de Matteo has opened up about her children’s reactions to her OnlyFans job, which she claims’saved her life.’
The 90s TV actress is most remembered for her performances on The Sopranos, Desperate Housewives, and the Friends spin-off Joey.
However, during the pandemic, the 52-year-old said she struggled to find job and pay her bills after declining to receive the Covid vaccination.
Drea then went to OnlyFans, claiming she had generated enough money to pay off her mortgage in five minutes.
She has recently disclosed that her 16-year-old daughter Alabama assisted her with the OnlyFans photoshoots.
Drea told The Sage Steele Show that Alabama, who she said worked as an artist, was ‘sometimes’ involved in her new career.
However, Drea said she assists ‘less now’ as she is pursuing her ‘own thing’ and working more in their clothing business.
She added her 13-year-old son Waylon was more concerned about her presence on the site in case his school classmates came upon her account, but she jokingly ‘puts him in his place.’
Explaining to host Sage how she challenged her son, Drea continued: ‘[I will say] like “Do you like that jacket you just asked me to buy you?”
‘”You like all the things that you want, that make you happy? You like that new PC that you begged for for Christmas? Because you wouldn’t have that s**t if Mommy didn’t show her a**”.’
She joked that her explanations ‘shut him up’ because he’s a ‘greedy little b***tard’ and was a ‘label w****e.’
Drea stated that the banter between her and her son over her OnlyFans account was light-hearted, and that they were all ‘incredibly open’ with each other.
Prior to opening an OnlyFans account, Drea said she was in dire straits and had been trying to sell her home before ‘they took it.’
She also lost her mother, and her other mother suffered from dementia and had to pay her carers.
Drea told Mail Online: ‘OnlyFans saved my life, 100 per cent. I can’t believe I’m saying that, but it really did save us.
‘Anybody that wants to condemn me and put me down, go for it. I just hope you never find yourself in the position I was in to take care of two little kids.
‘It saved my home of many years that was very important to us. And beyond all that, it has given me enough money to start up and finance ULTRAFREE.’
