A Place In The Sun house hunter in tears as she remembers late dad in emotional first look at new series

The next series of A Place In The Sun is nearly here – and things are about to get emotional.

As the show heads to prime time, a first look clip shared exclusively with sees house hunter Hannah looking for a dream home in sunny Majorca, helped out by her friend Helen and presenter Jasmine Harman.

It’s a roller coaster of emotions for Hannah, who is looking for a property following the death of her father – and at one point, it gets a little overwhelming for her and Helen.

The pair are told by Jasmine to cover their eyes as they walk into the apartment, before looking out at a stunning view over the sea.

‘That’s the view,’ Hannah laughs.’That is definitely the feeling I wanted. That is just lovely.’

Tearing up, she says: ‘Got a bit of a lump in my throat then! Yeah, that’s really nice.’

Looking at Helen, Jasmine goes on to say: ‘You’re welling up as well now, what’s going on with you two?!’

‘I dunno, it’s just so lovely,’ Hannah says, before adding of Helen’s tears: ‘She’s off!’

‘The whole idea was something for her dad and her mum and it’s just perfect, the view is exactly that,’ Helen explained.

Despite the travel restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, the team have still managed to film some new episodes of A Place In The Sun, with presenter Laura Hamilton sharing a snap of herself recording a voiceover for a new series.

Before the second lockdown was announced, she also shared her experience of doing a coronavirus test as she needed to travel to Cyprus for the show.

Taking to her Instagram story, Laura captioned the video: ‘Time for another COVID TEST! #travelsafe.’

A Place in the Sun celebrates its 21st birthday by going prime time on  November 8 on Channel 4.
